I want to try to get a business to sponsor me on a school trip. its in june to spain and france and it costs $4,000 which I have to pay for half of. What types of businesses pay for this? what type of letter should I write? should I call instead? what should I say? Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

I don’t know where you are located, but in the U.S., I’ve never heard of a business sponsoring an individual for something like this, because they wouldn’t get the tax benefits they would get for giving a scholarship to a school or for sponsoring the activity itself on behaf of the school.
